Who let the blogs out!? #2

by Nick on February 25, 2012

Happy Saturday!  Any big plans for the weekend?  We’re styling or profiling (likely not both) at a fancy pants wedding tomorrow.  As my Boston boys would say, it should be a “wicked awesome” time.  There will be an “open bahhh” and “lotsa” music and friends, so I’m definitely looking forward to it.

Here’s hoping your weekend shapes up to be pretty fun, too.  Don’t let me catch you at the local Simon’s sipping on an Orange Julius, got it!  I’ll know.  I have people.

Anyhow, here are this weeks top reads from around the blogosphere.  I mentioned the criteria last week but generally each of these posts is some combo of fun, informative or inspiring!  Of course another way of making the list is by kissing some blogger butt by mentioning Step Away from the Mall, haha!  Don’t worry, that just gets you noticed.  Your post still needs to be fun, informative or inspiring to make the list!

So check out these posts and spread the word to your friends.  I’ll tell both of mine, too.

OK.  That’s enough for now.  There were too many great posts this week to put them all here.  As always, make sure you point out how dumb I was for forgetting other great posts in the comments.  And if you’re interested in being featured in the next “who let the blogs out” roundup, shoot me an e-mail and send me a post that fits the criteria and I’ll check it out!

Until next time, put your credit card down and slowly step away from the mall!

Like what you see here? Tell your friends by sharing it with one of the buttons below. Post this to Facebook or Tweet it to help your friends and family, too. And don’t forget to send me an e-mail or comment to say hello. I love hearing from you.

Also, please join our recently-started Facebook community where I hope to build a place where we can all share thoughts, successes and support.  And don’t forget to follow me on twitter where you’ll find most of the posts, random thoughts by me and more.  See you there!

There really are so many great posts to read. Since I have started blogging daily, I have noticed what I read has changed. And I continue to find great blogs to read. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for including my blog in this post Nick! Enjoy the wedding and the open bahhh πŸ™‚
Open bars are bad news for me. I have a hard enough time knowing when to cut myself off when I'm paying for my drinks. If I don't have to take out my wallet someone better be there to drag my drunk ass home.

Isn't it crazy how many good reads are out there. I could spend all day getting lost online… I have a feeling the round-up is going to be really long eventually. I'll probably cap it between 10 and 20 though. Maybe a "best of" with a few "also check outs." Thanks for stopping by and saying hello!

Ha! Thanks Modest Money… Fortunately my daughter is still exclusively nursing, so my wife is my DD tomorrow. You're right though, back when I was "bahhh-tending" I would dread the free booze nights… It was good money, but I was always flying over the bar to break up fights and then clean up after people who would stay even past "drag my drunk ass home" stage and into "sleep on my stomach with a bucket close by" stage…

Thanks! Yep – goes over real well working in NYC. I had to swallow my pride when I lost a super bowl bet and had to buy a Cake Boss cake on my way to work. I'm a good sport though, so I had the woman write "Don't Choke Like the Patriots" on it… I almost didn't have her write "Don't" though… πŸ™‚

Nice list of wonderful articles. I really enjoy your sense of humor. Life is boring without creativity especially in the world of finance. πŸ™‚

Keep up the good work.

Haha. Thanks Funancials… I've had the song stuck in my head for about four years, so I figured I'd put it to good use…
